Standing Seam Metal Roofing

In recent years, Standing Seam roofs also known as hidden fastener steel roofing have become increasingly popular for not just residential roofing projects, but commercial applications as well! People are beginning to notice how advantageous they can truly be, and appreciate their cost-effectiveness in the long run. In Wisconsin, Iowa, and Illinois, the savviest customers call us, Midwest Roofing & Construction LLC, as we are one name on a very short list of roofers who have the capabilities and experience in installing one of these exceptional systems.

What is Standing Seam Roofing?

Standing Seam roofing uses continuous panels that run from the apex ridge of the roof down to the eaves. The seams of these panels are connected by fasteners (.5” to 1.5” high) that sit above the level of the metal roofing. Due to their unique construction, the fasteners are concealed, and so you only see a continuous ridge from top to bottom.

Generally, 12-19 inches wide, Standing Seam panels can be made of a variety of metals such as Galvalume-coated steel or aluminum. Here at Midwest Roofing & Construction LLC, we have our own facilities and the right kinds of expertise to manufacture our own to save you more.

Advantages of Standing Seam Roofing

Seam Height: Because the seams are raised off of the level of the roofing panel, moisture cannot penetrate this type of roofing, and thus cannot eat away at it, freeze it, or damage it over time.

Durability: The paneling steel at Midwest Roofing & Construction LLC is incredibly tough and resistant to many of the dangers of inclement weather. It WILL last for decades, but you should always keep an eye out for potentially hazardous overhanging limbs or particularly violent storm damage, and call us if there any issues.

“Cool Roofing”: The Environmental Protection Agency rates Standing Seam roofs as “cool roofs” because they can be painted any color on the light side of the spectrum that will prevent heat absorption. This - combined with their sleek, vertical design - offers a unique, alluring appearance that can be customized to your specifications.
